Recommendations from satisfied customers are a clear sign that a gossip website is a good one. People who have purchased gossip and have promptly and efficiently received their items are the best advertising. They tell others to buy their gossip at the same place.

Hollywood stars don’t just make movies, they make headlines. CNN’s David Daniel looks at the year in gossip. (December 30)

Veils were traditionally used to hide the bride’s identity, as part of a custom that the bride and groom would be kept utter strangers until they met at the altar. (This also explains the superstition that you’re not allowed to see each other on your actual wedding day.) Today, veils serve no other purpose than to make you feel beautiful.

Every little girl dreams of having a fairytale wedding and looking the glowing, absolutely radiant bride on her special day. Women always say that it’s wonderful to be marrying someone who loves them just the way they are; but on the day the knot is tied, nothing less than perfection is expected. Now there are wedding planners to help ensure the event goes smoothly, caterers to serve great food and family to take care of the guests. That just leaves the bride’s looks.

I, (bride/groom), take you (bride/groom) to be my lawfully wedded (husband/wife) for richer for poorer, and sickness and in health, to love, honor and cherish from this day forward, ’til death do we part.

How do you ask the woman of your dreams to marry you? Why not take her out on a romantic cruise, have a great time and as you watch the sun set on your last evening on vacation together, why not ask then? Beautiful place, the mood is set and the woman of your dreams beside you; gather up your courage and ask!

My radio needs are pretty simple. I require a single preset: my local National Public radio station. So I’ve regarded satellite radio and its much-ballyhooed digital transmissions with ambivalance. I’m not interested in all those wacky music and talk channels. And while satradio’s public-radio offerings hold some appeal, the lack of local flavor is a deterrent. Besides, I’m just not keen on paying monthly fees for radio. HD radio? Hey, that’s different. Terrestial broadcasters such as Minnesota Public radio have begun upgrading to digital FM transmissions, which are said to sound as good as satellite radio (with AM sounding about as good as standard FM). And the digital broadcasts are gratis. Hey, sounds good! Now, I just have to wait for prices on those newfangled digital receivers to fall. $250 to $500? Ouch. Update: But wait! Maybe you can get your radio for free!.

Leading the U.S. radio industry in technical innovation and programming, NPR has ensured that multicasting will be a part of public radio’s digital future. Multicasting is a feature of HD radio? technology that creates multiple broadcast channels from what is presently one analog radio signal. This summer, NPR will begin offering five programmed music formats to multicasting stations: classical, jazz, electronica, triple-A and folk. Other program offerings NPR is developing for stations with new channels include a news and information service and formats that would serve culturally diverse audiences. more on NPR?s tomorrow radio Via I Love radio .org

Los Angeles syndicated radio talk show host Paul McGuire accused conservative talk radio of censoring any criticism of Republicans like the firemen in Fahrenheit 451. Conservative talk has lost its credibility by turning into “Republican radio.” They have become exactly like the “liberal media they love to criticize.” [ Jun 9, 2005]
